If you're up to date with all the Underground Railroad blocks, you might like to add the additional story block. This needs to be printed out onto cotton fabric, and can either be used as a sixteenth block, or as a label for the back of your quilt. Click the picture below to download a printable pdf of the text.

If you want to use the story block as a 12in block, print out the pdf onto an A4 printable cotton sheet, and trim to 8in square. I did this by trimming 1/8in from each side, 1/4in from the top, and 3 3/8in from the bottom, your page may print slightly differently, so please measure before you cut. Then add a 2 3/4in border to each side to make up to 12 1/2in square.

To use the story block as a 6in finished block or a label, print out the pdf onto an A4 printable cotton sheet, and trim to 6 1/2in square. Again, I trimmed 7/8in from each side, 1in from the top, and 4 1/8in from the bottom, but your page may print slightly differently, so please measure before you cut. You don't need to add any borders to use this as a block, turn under 1/4in on each side and applique to the back of your quilt to use it as a label
