Thread Tidy

This thread catcher is a handy little bin to put your cut thread ends in as you sew.

The thread catcher was designed to avoid dropping thread ends all over the floor. It’s made from red and blue felt with embroidery in contrasting colours and also has a lid that closes with a buttonhole loop, to keep the threads contained. The lid is also lightly stuffed, so it acts as a temporary pincushion.

Designed and made by Nancy Nicholson. An adapted extract from Modern Folk Embroidery by Nancy Nicholson.
