A bestseller, and one for every quilter. Katherine’s book is not new, but is incredibly popular and well worth having. There are excellent sections on equipment, materials, templates, rotary cutting and quilt construction. Also lots of ideas for things you may not have tried before. For example Seminole patchwork, or biscuit patchwork, which can be done by hand or machine and is great fun to do. Even ‘setting in’, which many quilters find tricky because of the partial seams, is clearly explained and de-mystified. Whether you start at the beginning and read through to the end, or dip in and out as you choose, there is something useful and interesting on every page.
