A one day Workshop exploring the use of geometrical shapes in patchwork.

Suitable for beginners or those with some experience of patchwork who want to expand or improve on their skills.  The workshop will include a brief introduction to the use of geometrical shapes in patchwork illustrated by examples of patchwork patterns, blocks and quilts. Celia will also explain the many ways in which geometrical shapes can be used to create both simple and complex patterns. This will be followed by a practical, ‘hands on’ session in which a patchwork panel/s will be sewn to be used either as cushions, bags or simply as decorations. £35 for members and £50 for non-members. Easter Fun for Young Quilters!

1 and 8 April 2015

The Quilt Museum and Gallery is running Easter Sewing Workshops for Children on 1 April and 8 April. Come along and have some fun. The workshops are suitable for all abilities. No prior experience of using machines is required and all materials are included.

Age:  8-14yrs

Wednesday 1 April 2015 - Create an owl glove puppet using machine stitch and a range of fantastic coloured fabrics.

Wednesday 8 April 2015 - Create a colourful Easter Placement featuring an Easter Chick

Time: 10.15-12.45pm and repeated in the afternoon 1.30-4.00pm
