It's time to find your bag feet, snap up some magnetic snaps, and escape to the country! Your bag sewing skills are about to get a kick up the gusset...
Clear the weekend of the 18th – 21st March 2016 in your diary for the inaugural Sew Brit Bag Camp! 2016’s premier bag making retreat will be held in a rural cottage in Somersal Herbert near Uttoxeter, conveniently close to the A50. Attendees of all abilities from beginner to advanced bag makers are welcome, and will enjoy two full days of bag making classes specific to their experience level. The exclusive retreat bag pattern will be provided with added bells and whistles for more confident stitchers, and everyone will go home with a bag they will love.
The retreat also provides meals, lovely cottage accommodation, evening fun and games, refreshments throughout the day, discounted bag supplies and no retreat would be complete without a goody bag!
The line up of teachers is impressive and they are travelling especially for the event. Samantha Hussey of Sewing Patterns by Mrs H will be in attendance from the Welsh valleys, regular magazine writer Katy Cameron of The Littlest Thistle is travelling in from Glasgow in Scotland and renowned pattern tester Liz Schaffner of the Moments blog is flying to the UK from Germany and will be on hand to offer expert guidance.
Tickets are available at £295 for a full residential stay from Friday afternoon until Monday morning, including all meals and accommodation. Day tickets are also available on both the Saturday and Sunday priced at £175, which provides you with access to classes, lunch and goody bag. Payment plans are available if required.
