Scrappy Baltimore Quilt

A modern interpretation of a traditional American Baltimore.

This wall hanging is made in the style of a traditional Baltimore quilt. Traditionally they were worked in creams, reds, greens and rich ochre yellow but my version uses lots of floral prints. It’s constructed from four large blocks using an easy appliqué method and machine stitching; the blocks have been joined using quilt-as-you-go. You could easily make a bigger quilt by adding more blocks, or use just one block to make a stylish cushion.
