Quilters & suppliers have been donating fabrics, blocks, ufos, orphan blocks, scraps etc and on the 20 & 21st Jan we are holding our Charity Quiltathon. Quilters are donating their time & skills in return for a free lunch & refreshments which we are providing. We also offer a very reduced rate for those who need to stay over – just £40 for DBB.
In 2014 we held a similar event followed by a Charity Quilt Show event from which we raised a wonderful £1,600 and donated over 80 of the remaining quilts to the charities - over 50 went to Project Linus at Scarborough Hospital. Of course we are hoping to top our previous achievements in 2016.

The Childrens Hospital Charity in Sheffield are raising money to buy life-saving equipment, fund vital research and treatment for thousands of children from across the world and help create a comfortable, engaging environment for their patients.
They are building a brand new hospital to match world-class facilities with our existing world-class care - creating the best possible environment for children to get better quickly. As part of the transformation they are expanding their theatres department and plan to be the UK's first children's hospital with a fully-digital Intraoperative 3T MRI scanner. Currently, this specialist piece of equipment cannot be found anywhere else in the UK and is only available in three countries worldwide.
