Popular Patchwork October 2012
Our cover project for October is a gorgeous Autumn quilt, Birds in the Cornfield by Stuart Hilliard. This wonderful quilt received lots of compliments from visitors to the Popular Patchwork stand at Festival of Quilts, so we're sure you will love it. There are several favourites in this issue that you may have glimpsed from the show, Linda Clement's Braid Wall Hanging, Anne William's Indian Summer quilt and
Sara Jaskiewicz and Sadie Yeomans' Autumn Days Bag all brightened our stall beautifully. We had lots of enquiries about these patterns, so we're very pleased to publish them this month! We've also got a great (waterproof!) Picnic Quilt by Mandy Munroe, Mocha, a coffee and cake themed quilt by
Heidi Pridemore and Hilary Gooding for Makower and Diamond in the Rough, a lovely lap quilt by Sharon Scothern.

The next part of our Row by Row Sampler Quilt by Davina Thomas features a set of Four Patch Blocks.  These are pieced using half square triangles and squares, and offer loads of possibilities for new combinations. Don't forget to share your progress each month here on the website, we love to see how you're getting on.

In our features section, we take a look at a fascinating US documentary series, Why Quilts Matter, visit Quilts UK at Malvern, try Quilting from the Kitchen with Brenda Dean and Janet Richardson, and preview the 2012 Christmas fabric ranges.

There are over £300 worth of prizes and giveaways in this issue. Don't forget to check the 'What's New' section and book review pages for all our prize draws and special offers.
