Popular Patchwork November 2012
Our cover project for November is a beautiful checkerboard Scrap Quilt by Mandy Munroe.  There are three additional quilt designs in this issue, a lovely Friendship Quilt by Linda Clements, an effective two block design, Henley Flowers, by Heidi Pridemore and Jo Baddeley for Makower and a bright Jigsaw playmat by Regan Purcell. Regan's jigsaw design uses applique rather than curved piecing, so this one will be quick and easy to put together too!
You could use this month to make a start on your Christmas Decorations, with a pretty Christmas Wreath wallhanging by Stuart Hillard, or a lovely Festive Pie Table Centre piece by Brenda Dean. Both these designs feature clever piecing tricks, so make sure you check both patterns, even if you're not in a Christmassy mood just yet!
Everyone loves chickens, so don't miss Kate Percival's fun Hen cushion. This can be made with funky new fabrics or scraps from your stash, and is sure to be a winner either way.
The next part of our Row by Row Sampler Quilt by Davina Thomas features a set of lovely Log Cabin Blocks. Your quilts should all be growing nicely now, please don't forget to share your progress with us, we love to see how you're getting on with our series and sampler quilts.
In our features section this month, we catch up with Brenda Dean and Janet Richardson with the second instalment of their quilting tips series, and Anne Williams meets Guildford Quilters and finds out about their fantastic charity work. You can also visit Loch Lomond Quilt Show with Gillian Cooper, and join me and a trio of Special Olympic Athletes at Festival of Quilts for a special Gift of Quilts presentation.
There are over £400 worth of prizes and giveaways in this issue. Don't forget to check the 'What's New' section and book review pages for all our prize draws and special offers.
