Popular Patchwork November 2009
Our cover project this month is this beautiful Autumn Leaves wallhanging designed by Angela Huddart, a popular and talented member of the forum here at Popular Patchwork. Also in this issue, we have the second installment of Gillian's Mystery Quilt, you'll be warming up the blue units with some autumnal colours this month, and there's the next set of instructions for Anja Townrow's "Contemplation" sampler quilt.  Hilary Gooding has designed a great bedquilt and pillow set for girls using Makower's pretty fairy fabric collection and there are two wall hanging projects, a tasty "Bramley Apple Pie" from Greta Fitchett, and colourful "Poppies" by Pat Stone.
The November Journal quilt is a gorgeous hand quilted Feather in the Durham wholecloth tradition, our A4 journals are a lovely size to practice your hand quilting, so enjoy!

Our features section includes Gillian's Top Ten quilts and the Popular Patchwork Journal Quilts from Festival of Quilts, Davina's review of The National Quilt Championship at Sandown, and a look at quilting in Europe, Linzi Upton reports from the Open European Quilt Championships held in the Netherlands earlier this year. For those of you with an interest in quilt history, there is a wonderful article by Chris Hammacott, who tells us a little about Emiah Jones and her quilt for the Queen.

There are lots of giveaways and all the usual reviews and news in this issue. Don't forget to enter our design competition in connection with Nutex and Lady Sew and Sew, there are £200 worth of prizes to be won.
