Our cover project this month is the lovely lightweight summer quilt, Dozens of Daisies by Lynne Edwards. Inside, there's a choice of four fantastic quilts, Mandy Munroe's whitewash Raft Quilt, Chris Franses' country style Chicken Run, a great Gees Bend inspired book extract by Kate Haxell, Groovalicious Patchwork and a snuggly Teddy Bear Quillow by Ruth Lazarus. There's a great selection of other smaller projects too. Take a look at Kerry Wilkinson's brilliant Fishbowls wall hanging, Sarah Sparkes' multi use Art Deco Border, Katharine Guerrier's sunny Beach Huts Mini Quilt and Janet Goddard's toddler Activity Bag-Cum-Mat.
Within our features pages, Gillian Cooper talks to quilting twins, Marjory McKinven and Marion Robertson. Anne Williams visits the Kaffe Fassett exhibition at the American Museum in Britain in Bath, while Vick Guthrie tells us about Dashwood Studios, an up and coming British fabric design house. In this month's Scrap Attack, Stuart Hillard shows us how to make a 4 July Independence Day quilt using scraps from our stashes, and Dawn Cameron-Dick teaches us how to understand sewing machine needles in Dawn's Top Tips.
