Take a look at the contents pages from the new April 2010 issue of Popular Patchwork here, Popular Patchwork April 2010.

If the weather is getting you down this month, Popular Patchwork have some lovely sunny projects to cheer you up! Warm yourself up with Greta Fitchett's "Cup of Tea" or travel to Africa with Magie Relph and Helen Conway and their "Kinshasa Wall Hanging". If you're joining in with our Black and White Swap here on the website, we have a perfect pattern from Sally Ablett, using the new "Midnight" fabric range from Fabric Freedom. There are two great projects from award winning quilters, an elegant "S Curve" wall hanging from Sheena Norquay, and a striking, Clarice Cliff inspired hanging from Anja Townrow. Davina is looking at using simple squares in the next installment of our Round Robin and the April Square Dance is from Angela Huddart. Angela teaches us how to use creative painting techniques to add a new textural dimension, she's created some wonderful sea spray to inspire us.

There's is plenty to read this month too! Gillian reports from the Japanese Sashiko Textiles exhibition in York, we hear from Lynne Edwards, back from travelling and teaching in Kenya and New Zealand, Anne Williams tells us about making and mending, and Barbara Howell gives us an insight into the design of her beautiful Museum Mosiac quilt. Pat Stone helps to dispel some free machine quilting myths in this month's "A Girls Best Friend" and we have a gallery of Olympic quilts from the Gift of Quilts 2012 project. Last but not least, the hotly anticipated new Quilt exhibition at the V&A opens on March 20th, and we have a preview of some of the quilts to whet your appetites!

Of course, there are plenty of giveaways, reviews and news in this issue. Look out for the Makower Flowers range and the new V&A Liberty fabric on our Bits and Pieces page.
