Nel's Country Flowers uses the Circle in a Rectangle Technique, in fabrics from Nel Whatmore's Secret Garden range. The shape of the quilt means it could be used as a table runner or as a wall hanging for a stairwell or similar long, tall space. The Circle in a Rectangle blocks are exactly right for this quilt as they appear to elongate it.

Christine Porter is an international quilt teacher and author. She travels the world teaching, lecturing and judging. In 2010 Christine was presented with the prestigious Amy Emms Award for Services to British Quilting and has won awards for her quilts in Britain and the USA. She has featured on ‘The Quilt Show’ with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims, and writes for several UK and US quilting magazines. Christine Porter has previously written five quilting books (two co-authored with Darra Williamson) and four DVDs.
