Debi says, "I was delighted when the book arrived in the post - I only started patchwork/quilting in August, so it's lovely to be able to start building a library of books."

"I do quite a bit of cross stitch, but wanted to try something a bit different. I have wanted to have a go at patchwork for a long time, but found the instructions quite difficult to follow. Fortunately my neighbour's sister spent a little time with me in the summer, showing me the basics. She also really kindly lent me her rotary cutter, mat and ruler."

"I have made a few cushion covers, and attached is a photo of myself with two I have made for Christmas. I quilted them "in the ditch" before making them up. I am hoping to make a cot quilt in the new year, for a colleague at work whose wife is having a baby. I think Popular Patchwork is great, and particularly like the fact that as a subscriber I can access previous copies digitally. I would love to make the "Boys and Girls" quilt from 2007. The magazine is also helping to demystify patchwork and quilting for me! Thanks again for the prize - a lovely surprise!"

We hope Debi will enjoy her prize, and have fun here on the forum. The Boys and Girls quilt would make a lovely cot quilt, I'm very fond of that design, go for it Debi!

This month our lucky new member will win a copy of "Carry Me - 20 Boutique Bags to Sew" by Yuka Koshizen. Check back in January to see who won!
