Lexy says,"My Mum is a lifelong sewer and makes a lot of quilts and other projects and I've wanted to try my hand for a while, but I've not got the patience for a lot of hand sewing and I didn't really have room for a sewing machine and all that goes with it. My husband and I have just moved to a new house, with more space and plenty of rooms that need redecoration and that homemade touch. Since the move I've invested in a sewing machine and have begun experimenting (Mum is a great source of advice and ideas, as are magazines like PP), my first big project is a Christmas table runner which I've pieced and basted and am about to start quilting. The PP members' advice on possible approaches to quilting it were very helpful."

"As for the website, I love how welcoming everyone is and also generous; with their time, their advice, experience, skills and resources. I'm really looking forward to being part of the astronomical squares swap in the new year, a chance to work on some small projects and to share with other members as part of the Birthday Club. I've been looking through the new projects and UFO threads and I've already got a huge list of things I'd like to try out in 2015, all based on things other members have posted pictures of. There are plenty of ways to get involved with the forum, a nice range so that there's something for everyone which is really nice to see and after I get a bit more confident with my sewing I'd like to take part in more swaps and forum projects."

Welcome aboard Lexy, we love your projects so far, and we're all looking forward to swapping and sharing more with you very soon.
