Projects for the home, knitting for babies, sewing, upcycling, patchwork... Find it all at The Spring Knitting and Stitching Show!
In response to hard economic times and encouraged by a desire to live more ‘conscientiously,’ the UK has seen a big resurgence in crafts of all kinds over the last few years.
Retailer HobbyCraft have opened 15 new stores since 2009 and research in September 2012 by insurance provider Simply Business found a 29% increase in arts and crafts shops on the high street and a 44% increase in fabric shops.* Knitting groups are springing up in local pubs nationwide and there is a visible increase in the number of craft titles found on the shelves of newsagents.
The Spring Knitting and Stitching Show brings together the various elements of this resurgence, providing the products, tools and tuition to Make It Yourself; make your own clothes, gifts or interiors… the list is endless.
