Loose Change

With no seams to match this mini-quilt is an ideal project for beginners.

Strip-piecing is the art of accurately stitching fabric strips together. The three coin blocks in this quilt each have twentyfour 1/2in wide (finished) strips so are good practise. The blocks and borders are then pieced directly onto the wadding and backing. As the stitching is visible only on the back of the quilt it’s the nearest thing to truly invisible quilting!
