Janome has announced that it is supporting a new concept aimed at making the fashion industry more accessible to young people.
Neon Prospects is an innovative and exciting company, which will organise
‘Style Factory’ workshops that give a hands-on insight into this creative area,
allowing individuals to work confidently and independently in life.
‘Style Factory’ will put students aged 13 – 17 in direct contact with highly experienced
industry professionals and give them the chance to learn all about the fashion
industry, from sketching master classes to sewing skills workshops using the
very latest Janome sewing machines. They'll not only finish the course with
the knowledge and practical skills to pursue a career in fashion, but also with
the business acumen and confidence to enter the world of employment.
initially being offered in the North West of England where there has been a
high level of interest from the education sector.The first courses will be held at Blakemere Craft Centre, Sandiway, Cheshire during August 2010.
