In aid of Lister Renal Unit, Stevenage
Last May Icknield Quilters held a quiltathon to make a quilt to raffle at our meeting in September in aid of the Lister Renal Unit in Stevenage. One of our members had a transplant last year and is so much healthier now! In thanks, we made a Liberated Star double bed quilt (see picture) and tickets are now available from Michele Clarke. Do send an s.a.e. to me at Rosemary Cottage, Fore St, Weston, Hitchin SG4 7AS. Tickets are £1 each and cheques should be made out to Icknield Quilters. There is also an opportunity to win three more quilts (a single and two cot), and other prizes such as a voucher from John Lewis. We have had splendid support from various sources: Loose Threads, Threads and Patches, Studio 39, Chris Lunnon (printers in Baldock), Aurafil threads, and many others, including everybody who sponsored us all for the actual quiltathon.
