Are you looking for a particular product in textile crafts but can't find it? Help may be at hand with a clever new app from EQS
In what it claims as a first of its kind anywhere in the world, the company now has an EQS app in the iTunes store. In essence it is an electronic catalogue with extra features. It is possible to browse the entire non-fabric range with full product information and images. There are even videos showing how to use some of the items! The structure is essentially the same as the web site, adapted for the format. And being an app, all the information is available off-line which makes it ideal to use on the go.
The catalogue is conveniently split down into three broad areas: Quilting & Sewing, Knitting & Crochet and Needlework & Cross Stitch so you can find your product more quickly. Every product has a full description and clear image to make it easier to make your selection. Even individual thread colours are shown!
In case you have any problems finding exactly what you are looking for, there is a powerful search facility to locate products by code or description.
From the catalogue it is possible to create a wish list. Once the list is finished it can easily be sent on by e-mail. This means that you can send a list of your favourite products to friends and relatives when they are looking for gift ideas. Or you can e-mail it to wherever you normally buy your crafting supplies and ask them to send you the order. Finally there is a stockist locator that uses the location to find the nearest EQS stockists, making it so easy to buy what you need.
The app is available from the iTunes store. Simply search for 'EQS' and the app will come up ready to download. To date there have been over 1,000 downloads which shows just how useful people are finding it. It is updated on a regular basis to include new products and information.
