I really enjoyed this book. It is quite unusual; it covers a whole host of crafting techniques, yet focuses on the featured artist’s inspiration and their artistic statements arising from a variety of causes, from environmental to sociological. It isn’t really a project book, but each chapter does include a small project related to the theme of the section. There are sixteen projects in all, ranging from artist’s trading cards to knitted cardigans, with six specific items to sew. There are some wonderful inspiring stories here from a diverse range of crafters. Each chapter is very interesting, and any might inspire you to get involved in some exciting craft activism projects in your local community.
