Join Eastbourne's biggest Buntingathon in aid of the St Wilfrid's Hospice Care for a Cuppa appeal
Tracey Dennis, founder of the heavenly haberdashery and sewing class shop, Owl and Sewing Cat (behind the Grand Hotel) will be offering a free sewing experience at the Over 50’s Show on stand D49-50 at Eastbourne’s Winter Gardens on 30th and 31st May 2015.
“It would be wonderful to get people sewing for this excellent appeal and even better if we could create the longest possible bunting for charity!” says Tracey.
Over the course of the weekend, visitors to the Owl and Sewing Cat stand may choose fabric from a selection lovingly prepared by Tracey and her team, and sew a flag that will be added to what will hopefully become a long and lasting string of bunting. All levels and sewing abilities are welcome and tuition will be provided for complete beginners.
Members from Age Concern Eastbourne, 1st Langney Brownies and St Wilfrid’s Hospice will also be joining in the Buntingathon challenge to make the experience a truly memorable and special occasion for all involved.
Photos of our Buntingathon sewing extravaganza will be posted via Social Media on @owlandsewingcat so that all who sew may share the experience with their friends and family too.

“St Wilfrid’s Hospice greatly appreciates the support of the local community, and we are delighted that so many people have helped in producing this bunting. A huge thank you to the Owl and Sewing Cat for organising the event and for donating the bunting to the Hospice, it will certainly make a welcome colourful addition to our events.”
