The beautiful new collection of classic and vintage Liberty prints has been taken from the Liberty archives and will be available from www.alicecaroline.co.uk from 29th July 2016.

Liberty have produced some of the most popular and gorgeous vintage prints in this new collection from deep within the Liberty archives.  The prints have been re-released in the most popular colourways from the past for people who love dressmaking, general sewing and who will be nostalgic about childhood dresses from the past.

Just a handful of the stunning prints are:

Pretty Florals – the beautiful Nina, a classic miniature floral print; Carline, a really pretty 1950s vintage design with red and pink roses; Felicite, a very pretty classic English style print and Mitsi, such a gorgeous print with Japanese cherry blossom and one of Alice Caroline’s favourites.

Hera is named after the Greek goddess, whose sacred animal was the peacock.  Liberty’s Hera print was designed in 1887 and features an iconic peacock feather pattern.  Likewise, Caesar is a classic Liberty design which takes a fresh look at the classic peacock feather.

Art Nouveau – one of the most iconic Art Nouveau fabric designs is the highly popular Ianthe print.  Created by well-known French Art Nouveau designer R Beauclair in around 1900, this design is re-drawn by David Howard’s studio.

Alice Caroline Garrett, owner and inspiration behind Alice Caroline, said “The Liberty classics are some of the best that they produce.  They have re-released some wonderful prints in this collection.  I can’t wait to put the colours and prints together to form some beautiful fat quarter packs.”
