More than 20,000 visitors come every year to discover the art of patchwork in whatever form thanks to thirty exhibitions by internationally renowned artists. This event, of an original concept, has become a reference event in the field of traditional and contemporary patchwork and the art of quilt.

Overview of the 2017 exhibitions

Paula Nadelstern (US) Kaleidoscope Quilts

Paula Nadelstern, a well-known artist, spent more than two decades studying fabrics and evolutionary links between color, pattern, light and texture of kaleidoscope images.

Brigitte Morgenroth (DE) ‘Classical Quilts’

Colors and geometric patterns in materials that she particularly likes: silk, polyester satin, combined with cotton and hand-dyed cotton satin (by Heide Stoll-Weber) build the basis of her quilts. They are stitched by hand, some of them even hand sewn.

The exhibition will show graphics based on scratches and striped textiles. Some works are purely abstract, others stylized figurative.

The European Patchwork Meeting will have the great honor to welcome for this edition the Belgian Patchwork Association and the Patchwork Gilde of Germany, and many more to come.
