I now live in Andorra. I used to live in Berkhamsted where I was a member of Berko Quilters and also the Quilters Guild, serving on the Regional Committee for several years. I started patchwork and quilting when we lived in N. Italy in the mid 90s and was inspired by American friends I now do a wide variety of patchwork and quilting with a small group we have here in Andorra. Latest quilt art type projects have been my interpretation of a Miro painting and a tortured tree. I make a journal quilt every now and then to try out interesting new ideas or inspiration from magazines. Alongside this I continue to make traditional quilts but often with a modern slant. Update March 2010 Just been to Spanish Patchwork Assoc. annual exhib. in Sitges. Excellent. Had a small piece in the "Power of Red" competition. Not enough background quilting to come anywhere! Has made me realise I miss all the wideranging contact with quilters, courses, etc. which is available in normal countries.
