I can't remember now Sylvia......did she follow up on it? I do find it hard making choices sometimes.......as you said everyone really needs any help we can give! But everyone has the loan they need in the end....even if not from us!

Best Rosemary

Hi Rosemary

See we are both supporting the same lady in Ecuador.

Seems a very worthwhile investment.

I found you all by accident whilst browsing the Lendwithcare.org site. I’ve been doing it for a while now and it really is good. When I have enough back I simply lend it to someone else and the world keeps turning! I found £8.47 down the back of the sofa last week which just goes to show what a topsy turvy world it is when £15 can actually make a difference to someone’s life. Well done all.

Here is a message I have just received........ there is also a video and I will try to post a link

"I want to wish you a happy, healthy and successful 2019.

2018 has been a busy and exciting time for Lendwithcare! We started the year with a new microfinance partner in Peru - Instituto de Desarollo Regional "Cesar Vallejo" (IDERCV). We spent much of the year rebuilding the systems that run the Lendwithcare website. And, we were chosen by Heathrow as their International charity - every coin & note put in the currency collection points will be loaned through Lendwithcare and then support future growth.

52,000 of you have loaned £21 million to almost 100,000 entrepreneurs and I would like to thank each and every one of you.

I will leave you to your Christmas and New Year celebrations with a thank you message from me, the Lendwithcare team and - most importantly - some of the entrepreneurs you've supported with a Lendwithcare loan.

Thank you so much again for all the loans you've made and the lives you've changed. We could not reach as many entrepreneurs around the world without the support of lenders like you.

I am excited to see what 2019 will bring for Lendwithcare. I wish you personally a very happy and healthy new year.

With my warmest wishes

Tracey Horner
Head of Lendwithcare
CARE International UK"

Good evening everyone! I/we are still getting repayments and I made more loans earlier this afternoon! I have also had a message to the effect that the charity is no longer lending in Zimbabwe and that all loans there have been written off...sadly! As you may know...inflation has gone through the roof... fuel has gone from 1.50 to 15 units...not quite sure whether it's €/£/$...but you get the idea!

I had continued to make a few loans there...I felt " they" needed all the help they could get!

Best Rosemary x

That's sad news. I think we had hoped that things might have improved for the people under the new leadership.
