I know its really really early but I just happened to be looking for something else and came across this.

You can currently book the Etap (soon to be Ibis Budget) at Birmingham Airport for FOQ 2014 at £23.75 per night (plus breakfast). I like a comfy bed so might stick with the Novotel but the Etap is a bargain

That is a great deal Chris, but I think I might stick with the Novotel too! Having tried Holiday Inn, Etap, Ibis and Novotel, I like the last one best. But it is an awful lot more expensive!

Oooooh Chris, you are a temptress!

However, despite the very tempting price, I think I might try somewhere else next time. I wonder if the breakfast standard will be reduced even more if they are offering such big reductions frown.

Hi Chris....that is a good deal....but as soon as you put in the dates you want for the quilt show, the prices have a tendency to go up...I won't be staying at Etap .again. But as we all enjoy Frankie and Bennies I think the Novotel will be my choice for next year ... hate paying for a breakfast and supplying my own food...

I just went online and can book for 3 nites for ?90 which gives you the option to cancel if necessary...but those beds are so uncomfortable....and the rooms are so sparse....nothing in them at all...no, definitely not Etap next year...x

Hi all,

I was sorting through somepaperwork over the weekend and realised that this time last year I booked my hotel for FOQ surprise(where has the year gone?).

Has anyone decided whether they are going this year, and if so where they are staying?

I know the last few months have been difficult for many and it may be much too early for this kind of decision, but I was just wondering......

I have a dilemma.........I really want to go to the FOQ but my husbands' niece is getting married that weekend, but on the plus side my husband doesn't like her future husband (well none of my family like him actually) so we have to decide whether we keep family peace and go to the wedding or not?????
