Hiya, it looks to me like they have sewn two strips together and then cut triangles out of them - not sure what the technique is called but it's often used with jelly rolls. Hope that helps June Edited By June on 11/04/2013 14:02:45 |

![]() 31 forum posts 10 photos | Hi, I don't think the pic is that clear but its squares that are folded in some way and then tiny centre squares sewn on over the centre. The large squares have a kind of pleat coming down from each corner |

Hi I'm going to try to put a link up here - its for a quilt using the technique I mentioned earlier - if you just turn the triangles around a bit you should be able to make the squares up ok. Of course you'll also be making reverse squares but hey two quilts for the price of one! lol June x |

![]() 1234 forum posts 1650 photos | Kaz....I think it is done like this..Two squares of fabric...stitch all round leaving opening you to turn right sides out...stitch opening shut..if you want to add wadding do this when you stitch the squares together ....take each corner and put it into the middle...secure with small cross to anchor it....turn over..you now have the smooth side uppermost ...do the same again...corners into the middle ..press if you like or small stitch again...now appliqué square on top. Maybe you have to just fold it into corners once...can't remember...he he he...you are doing a sort of quilt as you go. Haven't done this for a while so just try it out with scrap fabric first please. Cheerio,
