Hobbycraft sale

My local (Gloucester) Hobbycraft store has a sale of patchwork fabric from 3 pounds per metre - I bought some Makower and Andover fabrics, but there is also some Amy Butler and Tanya Whelan fabrics at 6 pounds per metre

Same sale is also on at Croydon, though they have a lot less fabric now!

Just been to Hobbycraft it was on the way back from Watford Hospital where my DH had an appointment at the eye clinic. So I was allowed a treat on the way home , not much left at £3 but more at £6 ,so I managed 4 metres and 3 balls of wool 3 for 2.

I picked up a metre of tractor fabric for a friend but there wasn't much reduced fabric left. (£12.99 down to £5 so she's happy!) But,.... I did buy some sock wool at £1 per ball and 2 fancier sock yarns for half price too, and a "Knitting for Gold" book which was marked down to £2.99 from £7.99 but £2 at the till... and a die for my cuttlebug.

Quite a bit here at Hobbycraft Stockport £3 and £6. Mostly plainish with a few novelty prints, lots of 'Dimples' (Andover fabric) in different colours. I have made two trips but must not go again.....

I went to Basildon branch of Hobbycraft and they have lots of reduced £3 and £6 fabrics.......well they did before I got there, not so much now .....to be fair, I went to the local charity shop with 3 big bags of donations of clothes, books and bric a brac after a holiday Spring clean so I did have space to fill...........and I got 15½ metres from 9 different fabrics, (mostly Spraytimes and Dimples but all good stock colours), estimated at full cost was over £100 but cost me just over £43 as the till crashed when the customer before me was being served and I waited for over 25 mins so asked for a coffee and they gave me another 10% off whole bill for having to wait....... I am a happy bunny...............Marian

I got some good stuff yesterday from Meadow Hall hobbycraft. Lovely cot panel, £3 (got 2 of them as I have a couple of babies due this year, got some spraytime and dimples, stock colours etc, one lot was the last and I got 1.75m of a cream dimples for £3.. Also some cheap ribbon, just what I alsways buy at Christmas .

Good bargains - not-to-be missed Jill. Last year one of the assistants who knows me as a regular told me I'd missed some fabric the day before....a lot of metres because when the lady had taken it to the till, it was OUT-OF-DATE.......and they're not allowed to charge for it......so the lady took the lot..........how can fabric be out of date?............Marian
