It is National Quilting Day in the US on 16th March. Have you planned anything quilty to do on Saturday?

It would be really nice if we all did an hour of sewing each on Saturday and had a quilting relay. Do you think we could sew uninterupted for a day divided up between us? I don't think we'd manage 24 hours, unless we find some more members in interesting time zones , but I'm sure we could do 12.

If you're interested, let me know when you'll be sewing, and I'll make a list of everyone who wants to join in. Then on the day, just do some sewing in your slot, and let us know here what you did, then pass the baton to the next person on the list.

Sounds like fun Katy, think I could manage an hour probably in the afternoon.

I would be happy to do an hour and I am usually up and about early so happy for a slot before breakfast.

Regards

Susan

Thanks very much both of you! Can you each pick an hour and then I'll slot in anyone else and me into the gaps. If we aim for 6am to 6pm, lets see how many hour slots we can fill

Thanks Juliet,

Susan, I'm not sure what time you would consider to be before breakfast, so I've not given you 6-7 in case that's too early!

Yes I have something planned! It's the first meeting of the East Midlands Modern Quilt Guild in Nottingham!  Because of this though I can't guarantee to sew at a certain time as we may getting chatting...

That sounds good Kerry, hope you have fun! So far we have...

  • 6-7am Susan
  • 7am-3pm Me
  • 3-4pm Juliet.
  • 4-6pm Me again

Can we have a couple of extra people for an hour or two?

It would be nice if we could take a couple of photos of things we're working on during our slot, and then at the end of each person's hour come on and post a little bit about what we did, with photos if poss (unless you're working on secret stuff for birthday's). If we can get enough people involved Bridget would like to cover our day in the magazine, so if you'd like to be involved just join in.

Count me in Katy, I should be able to sew between 11 and 4!

Best
