I have been on Thursdays before and changed to Friday/Saturday and back to Sunday as I find Sundays are the quietest....but still busy and despite what they say there are still lots left....sometimes even a bargain at end of the day.cheeky

As far as dies go you can never have enough....I have just bought one of ebay and got a good deal...will try it out next week as I think I have caught up with things now.

Cheerio,

Claire, I chose the bg shot instead over the accuquilt mainly down to cos,t I was trying to justify the amount of money the accuquilt cost and decided that for what I want the big shot will do the same. The big shot cost £55 then the dies were £12.50 each from cotton patch-was shocked to see their stand at Harrogate, and the cheaper accuquilt would be. if i bought it in the US, approx £130 then there would be the dies to get.If I find I use it then I might look at the accuquilt in the future but for now it will do me smiley

Really must go and pack my case (and hubby's) as we are heading for manchester airport later todaysurprise

Well you have talked me into spending money! Have ordered the Sizzix Big Shot and some dies from that quilt shop in Birmingham as I received their latest newsletter yesterday. Didn't shop around elsewhere for the dies.

Margaret

That's whom I bought from on the web, Mandy!

I had a look at the big shot yesterday and it is a good robust machine...there weren't many dies for it...I like applique ones but they did say more would be coming on the market and they are a lot cheaper than the accuquilt go dies. I am off to play with my slice now..got a christmas bag to make for Morgan. sshhh don't tell him.

My Sizzix Big Shot and dies arrived on Wednesday. I've got the bird die as well, Mandy. I am in the middle of making an apple core neutral coloured runner for my new settee. I cannot believe how quick it was to cut out about 100 apple cores! My machine cut 6 cleanly at a time. As they have got balance marks they stitch together very quickly. I've got some more dies on order as well!
