I've made the sewing tidy from a recent issue, my first proper piece really enjoyed making it and intend making some more and the makeup bag version.  Must get around to taking a photo.

Please take a photo - we would love to see a picture! . Very glad you enjoyed making the sewing tidy, maybe you should try this month's redwork sampler to match. I think I might have a go at it, I like to have some handsewing to do in front of the tv!

Thanks very much for pointing that out! It's important to get it right, and the great part about the forum is that we can make sure corrections happen asap. We will make certain the next installment in the magazine makes it clear that blocks are 12in square when finished. We would usually recommend that you store all your completed blocks flat and safe until the set is complete, and then measure and trim each block to size when all twelve are ready, just to be on the safe side.

Thanks again Barbara, and sorry for the error.

I had to steal this picture of the Dancing Mice quilt I made for my neice as I don't usually take pictures of my quilts. I promise that I will do so from now on. It was made from the pattern in the January 08 issue of the magazine. It's made in the same fabric as the example, but it does have really pretty ribbons and hearts free longarm quilted by my (much more talented than me) friend Joanne.

I've taken a not-very-good photo of the Round and Round in circles quilt from June last year. It belongs to my daughter, Stella, who is away on her first trip away from home this week. I'd better make sure it is back on her bed by the time she returns tonight!

This is my version of the Mongolian Knot pattern from the June 07 Issue. I made it into a table mat rather than a cushion. It was very easy and fun to make.
