Does anyone have a pattern or a link for quilted cup cakes? (Used to be fairy cakes and butterfly cakes when I was a girl!) Preferably those with a top that lifts up/off. I'm sure I've seen something like this - or did I just dream it? (senior moment?)
Thanks

Hi Penelope

I don't know if this is the sort of thing you are looking for, but Google 'Fairy Cake Trinket Box' and you will find some felt versions.

If this is not what you are looking for I am sure as a quilter you could adapt it to a quilted style.

Hi Penelope,
Here is a book on cupcake crafts which I've just spotted on the C&T website, perhaps there is something in here?

I came across this site - the pics are not very large, but you get the idea!

I have a funny feeling Irene K had some cup cakes that were 3D.

Best wishes

Irene

I don't know if this is the kind of thing you are looking for but there is
a gorgeous little cupcake sewing set pattern for sale on this website.
I hope the link works.

Hi Penelope
Have you seen a photo of the fabulous dish of cup cakes in the Quilt Creations section of FoQ this year?  I have one in my Picasa album here and could post it if you are looking for inspiration.  Doesn't tell you how do them of course.

Hi Sylvia, I was fortunate to see these fantastic creations at the FoQ but my photographs are poor. I would be really pleased to see your pics if you would post them. Regards PenelopeG

Here's one side Penelope.  Having trouble getting them the right way up.  Will post other side of the stack when I can.
Sylvia.
Have just realised that they are cakes, not necessarily cupcakes.  Look good enough to eat though, don't they?

Aaargh....  I have now tried to turn the other photo 3 times.  If you see this Katy perhaps you can advise.  I have corrected the photo at source in my photos via computer etc. etc. not via Windows Photo Gallery.  Every time I upload it it comes out sideways, as I took it.  I have deleted it several times from my album and tried again but there it is again, wrong.
