|This is a great quilt, I would love to know a bit more about the background to making it. My daughter and her husband run a charity working with AIDS orphans in South Africa. They have adopted two orphans, check out 'Jesse's Quilt' that is on my page. I will add 'Joseph's Quilt' when I find the photo of it!|

Thanks for your lovely comments & photos! Did you see the article that this pieces came from http://www.popularpatchwork.com/news/article/mps/uan/33 , there is a little bit of background that you may be interested in. I have so much respect for your daughter and her husband, that is such a commitment, you must be very proud of them.
We's love to hear more about their work and whether we can contribute in anyway. Tell us more about it ! Mind you, we'd still love to see Josephs quilt in the meantime!

Thanks for giving me that article, I really enjoyed it and also thank you for your comments about my daughter and son in law's work. If you would like to look at their website it is www.projecto.org.za From the website you can see the work that they are involved in, they have been given the use of an amazing property to run their charity from, they are hoping that sometime in the furture they will be able to buy the property, they have people come and 'pay to stay' which helps towards the upkeep. They have had many young people spending part of their gap year with them as well as older single people or married couples. Recently they had some people from the BBC go and film their work, going out with them to take food to orphans etc. They are on a very low income, living just on what they receive from family and friends, although hopefully in the future they will be able to receive a wage from the charity. We are very proud of them and love the fact that now we have two little Zulu Grandsons!
Thanks again...and this website is great!
