I'm new but looking round the site found the gallery. WOW this bag is really striking, hope I can produce something as good as this one day.

The pattern for this bag is in the latest issue of Popular Patchwork (September 2009), and it's really quite easy! Our subscriber issues were delivered on Saturday a couple of weekend's ago, and one lady sent me a photo of her bag the next day!  It is made out of 2.5in strips, so you could even use a Jelly Roll, and not have to cut the strips either!

Hi Dawn,
I have also made a version of this bag. It had it's special outing at the Festival of Quilts.
It was pretty easy!

Hi Dawn
It's me again - I haven't been doing patchwork very long but have managed some reasonable things. I did the Singing Garden BOM last year which was great as I learnt something each month.
I am going to have a go at this bag when I get myself sorted out - I think I will have just the right strips if I cut squares for another project - lovely bright colours! Winter is round the corner so the machine will come out again.
This bag is great - love the tag.
