Hi Rosemary - just had a look as you suggested but I'm not sure if I am looking at the right info! Only name I saw that might be possible was "Chris" - but I don't know "our" Chris's surname!!

Congratulations Rosemary! You are a clever lady!

Last weekend was our retreat. We all had a great time and I experimented with some new ideas and also made a lavender doll with the help of our most senior member, Ethel who is almost 88. Amazing lady with so many stories to tell. She made us all laugh with the tale of how she made black satin bloomers in her sewing class at school.

Don't fret too much about the potential rising prices for fabric. Only a small proportion actually comes from China, most is made in Japan, South Korea and Indonesia! The fluctuating pound has more effect, but having said that we all need a good excuse to go out and buy fabric.. My latest buy was not fabric, but a folding cutting board and I love it!

Hi Rosemary,

She's got it, I think she's got it!!!!

Thanks for the instructions - I found it no problem at all with those. The baskets are just lovely - what a clever idea - the magazine is lucky to have you as a contributor.

Just seen my June copy and I now have answers to 2 things. Firstly, what Rosemary was alluding too. Lovely and creative projects to try, thanks Rosemary. Secondly a couple of weeks ago I received a bundle of batik fabrics from P&Q with a thank you note from Helen Kent [assistant editor]. I was perplexed then thought perhaps I'd won one of the give a ways. Mystery solved today. My Watersmeet bargello quilt is in the 'Your quilting news' section page 95.

Lots of lovely projects in this month's mag. thanks team. E

I am not on Facebook, but looked at the link on the homepage.

Do you think anyone from the magazine monitors it? How long has the obscenity been there?
