Its not completed but until I can find a suitable backing material it is as far as it is going to get.

I had 5 fat quarters of a Rose and Hubble fabric called Plantagenet and about 1.5 m of an ecru fabric. So I decided on 1/2 square triangles and went from there. I did sort of plan it but I orientated 3 strips wrongly [to the pattern] so left it and made the remaining ones to match.

I plan to do it QAYG so the strips will be sewn down as I go.

this is the 8 strips laid on the spare bed. the blocks are 5" finished. Clearly they don't line up yet but hopefully you can get an idea of it.I will post when it is finished.

So I am starting to bust my stash. Just in time for the shops to open again.

That should say 10 squares per strip and 10 strips. That will make it a 50" square quilt. Must go through my stash again today and see if I have any wide fabric. or other more suitable normal width fabric.

Have now finished 3 cushions for our porch. Upside down as usual but doesn't make any difference to the patterns! Still have a small table mat and the big sideboard runner to finish then it will probably be enough green!

That looks an interesting design, Eileen. Good stash busting.

Lovely green cushions, Sylvia. Well done.

NOT ALL MY WORK. Here is the final charity quilt made from the last 3 Stack & Whack blocks. Turned out better than I expected. The pale fabric is some vintage Jinny Beyer that I had in my stash. There was just enough of the turquoise floral that I was given to make the backing for this one too. Quickly quilted by elongating to max one of the quilting stitches on my machine.

Just 2 more donated quilt tops to go!

Clever use of those 3 blocks Margaret, works so well and I must see if I can elongate that stitch on my machine, it is very effective (and efficient). xxx

Susan Briscoe Sashiko Koi Carp. Got this kit from one of our members who brought it in as a raffle prize and I asked her if I could buy it. Started it back in the autumn and got round to finishing it this week.

Thanks, Eileen. Very observant, but you missed the ornate chop sticks that I am using as the hanging rod, small peep on left of hanging! Going through a japanese phase at the moment.
