Umi, The Sea, Sashiko kit by Euro Japan Links. I twice tried to order this kit from The Quilters Guild but it was sold out, so I ordered it direct from Euro Japan Links. The Steam a Seam fusible carried on being a pain, having gummed up my fingers and hand sewing needle, it also gummed up my machine needle when sewing on the backing.

Think I'm done with Sashiko for a while now.

That looks wonderful Margaret. Shame that the fusible is so problematic.

Very nice, despite your hassles. I think I would have been tempted to try my trusty Print Stick - a light touch is often enough to hold 2 fabrics together without gumming up a needle and it washes out easily. Cheaper than marketed sewing versions too!

My youngest girl Victoria has just graduated with a 2:1 in wildlife conservation. As a reward we bought her a sweep net/butterfly net as it is one of her specialist areas. I have made her a bag for it so it is kept together. It is lined and has box corners.

Since the start of lockdown she has taught herself to crochet so I have made her a crochet hook roll.

This was the project I was asking about the wadding. H640 a fusible wadding. I have bee fabric in my stash and I made this for her.

She will get them when she comes home later this week. She has gone to visit her boyfriend whom she hasn't seen since late February.

I hope she likes them.

Still don't know how this will pan out, but I'm catching up on my 2020 Temperature Quilt. Done Jan to April so far.

Well that is coming on nicely Margaret. I think it is a wonderful idea and look forward to it as it progresses.
