I sew them in as I go as Rosemary to avoid the task of doing them all at the end. It is a time consuming task isn't it.

brilliant that it is all done especially if the weather you have is as hot as it is here. I'm doing daughter's quilting in the cooler morning before the sun gets round to my sewing room.

Well done Rosemary. In this heat that is some achievement! Now I like sewing in ends as I find it quite restful. I either do it as I go along or leave it all to the end. Yesterday I was sewing in after each block was quilted. Mind you, I have only liked sewing in ends since I discovered self-threading needles. So much quicker!

Double hooray hooray...All the ends have disappeared...the binding has been pieced ( using left over jellyroll strips) and the hanging sleeve has been repaired! Hopefully it will go in the post on Saturday /Monday....and I will share some photos before I do so! Rx

I machined the binding on first thing this morning! Now I am hand sewing it as I watch the semi-finals at Wimbledon! 1 side already completed! Rx

2 sides completed but I slowed down a bit as the tennis got more exciting! That will probably continue as Federer and Nadal begin their match! Rx

You may have it done by now so I am glad the tennis helped you along. I don't watch Wimbledon.

looking forward to seeing it smiley

I had to unpick over 6ft of hand sewing, ladder stitched wadding and 2 fabrics joined together with a 2mm long stitch. I got a 4" pucker/tuck in one of the seams when I joined 2 panels together and because I didn't iron it I hadn't noticed it. angry I unpicked to Kirk Spock & McCoy [I have this thing for the original star trek though I am not a treckie]
