Hi Everyone!

A good friend recently suffered a stroke and now needs a walking frame on wheels to help her get around. She needed a bag that was walking frame friendly but could also be used as a general purpose bag.

I made up a bag from one of my patterns but added two long straps on one side along with the handles. I added two buttons to hold the straps down when not in use and two buttons on the opposite side to secure the bag over the frame when in place.

I am also working on a dedicated walking frame bag with six pockets, I'll keep you posted!

What a great idea Brenda. So practical but also so pretty and stylish. Your friend must be delighted with it.

Just finished the pattern for this walking frame bag. Designed for those who don't necessarily go shopping but need to carry their spectacles, mobile phone, books and magazines etc.

It has five pockets on the front and a large zip pocket on the back. It's made in two parts and fits over the front bar of the frame.
