Hi All....I do think we should try at least to mark the occasion in some way or another.. don't you?

The Quilt Show has a lot on...some free shows and competitions ...do go and have a look.

Any thoughts about what we could do...... one year we had a quilting marathon.... we all did our own thing and kept a note of the amount of time and added it all up! Lots of photos on the forum would be great as well!

Any other suggestions ?

Best Rosemary

Back 2013, Sylvia and I 'skyped' as we sewed, it was great chatting away as we stitched. I was very very new to quilting then and have sewn many stitches since.

I'll keep a note of how long I sew, Rosemary! I was thinking I could make some progress on some UFOs I have from various groups on here, such as my HSTs.

I'm assuming it's this weekend Rosemary? If so I'm trying my hand at some foundation piecing on Sunday which I haven't done for years! Sue*

I'm logging the hours I am spending on making my husband a quilt to take camping/sailing. I tend to keep a record of the projects as some family members seem to think I sit and stare into space or just watch tv now I am retired! If only laugh

I remember doing this a few year ago (was it 5 years ago?)when I was in Switzerland staying with my daughter. My grandson, Jonny joined in too and made a teacosy for his mum. I think those who joined in chose an hour in the day, or night, to do their sewing.

Morning ladies. I'm currently watching The Quilt Show and working on my homage to Lucy Boston, based on her Patchwork of the Crosses.

Gosh, was it really 5 years ago we chatted as we sewed Jayne? I remember you being in Switzerland for it too Irene. Is it this weekend? If so I will try and join in for a while but the garden is big priority at present, also I have a Spanish conversation class today.

It's obviously not fixed or stitched yet......I am waiting for my cousin to approve my design. One hour and counting!
