here is the first one finished......it is backed with fleece and I cut that extra big on all sides so that I could bring it over to the front to create the binding! It is going to Project Linus and fleece backed quilts are particularly good for wheelchair users! Best Rosemary |

![]() 3003 forum posts 776 photos 2 articles | This is a series of 12 blocks made during a challenge set by Tessa in 2015/16 called Alphabet Month Challenge. We all made a block for ourselves using a pattern we chose individually starting with the same letter as the month. I made the blocks but never put them together so this month it will get done! (I hope). Carol B |

![]() 1060 forum posts 154 photos | Hello Eileen, I used pebbles on the cream, a pinwheel on the centre - using freezer paper ironed on and sewing round the outline. I tried a feather free motion stitch on the greens which turned out more like a fern! I felt more confident as I went on and used different colours - some stood out more than others. I also used stippling and a bit of 'in the ditch'. All in all a good exercise. It did take quite a bit of time to do it all but because I had not spent time making the blocks I felt I could spend more time quilting it. Best wishes Reenie |

![]() 1060 forum posts 154 photos | Jayne, I have tried to look back in the threads for the PP Birthday Club 2013 but it is no longer there. I think Alison picked the birthday blocks and I am not sure, but I think a lot of the blocks would have been from the quilterscache website. However, as I didn't make the blocks, I am not sure what they are called, sorry! Maybe someone who was in the group remembers ... a bit of a long shot, but you never know! Best wishes Reenie |
