BirdhousesI am sewing when I can and last week finished a small wall hanging in order to enter it into our ESRA (English Club) flower and craft show.

I put this Confetti Flowers piece in and also my rather old Birdhouses. It was a Flowers or Garden Scene textile category. Amazingly, to me, the birdhouses won first and confetti flowers third.

I also entered a fairly old quilt which got a second. My fig chutney got a first.Confetti Flowers

Congratulations on being a multi prize winner, Sylvia. It's funny how often that judges don't see things the way that you do.

Hello Ladies!

When you’ve not been on for a while ... miss so much lovely work!

Carol, love the colours on the Bargello - never done one but appreciate all the work that goes in lining it up, well done!

Eileen, I agree about the fabric, you can see a different picture as your eye focuses on different parts when you look at it - good job!

Jayne, beautiful work - what a clever idea with the buttons! Quilts are meant to be used and admired, having a wee nap is just like taking it for a test drive! Colours go together well, smashing!

Rosemary, that bag is just stunning - it has a ‘bought’ look about it ... not to take anything away from it ... well done and hope you have had/are having a great time in Vienna.

Sylvia - you talented lady! Now they all know what we have been saying for years, well done!

Best wishes

Hello Everyone,

PP may have come to an end but I'm still designing bags, I just can't help myself. smiley

I made this for my Daughter Ii Law who is off to Greece in August. It weighs around 250 grams, is full y washable and can be folded flat to pack neatly in a suitcase.

Having my cataracts fixed today so probably will have to give up sewing for a little while.
