Loved making this quilt only my 2nd one...if I'd realised it was so big I might have done something smaller first! Lolimg_1287.jpg

Thanks Eileen, I really really enjoyed doing this having only completed a small baby quilt last month.....the quilting isn't so good in places but I'm hooked now.

I need to do more quilting on mine but I don't want to squash the texture too much. some seem to be so quilted they look flat.

I think my problem is I had an eiderdown quilt as a girl and looked its 'pooffy-ness'

I like the idea of free quilting with rulers, so bought some when I went to the Quilt Festival this year....still practicing....but thinking of making a cushion cover soon just using them on plain fabric. Fingers crossed

Lovely quilt Clare. Well done.

As I don't have PP magazine I thought it was a Dual Image quilt by Dilys Fronks, but I see that it was a PP project. My, you were super quick getting that finished!

Good luck with the rulers.

Eileen, I first saw them at the Festival of Quilts in 2015, there are Parrs and Westalee rulers. Here is a video of Westalee rulers in action, it's much easier to see than explain. Be warned they are EXPENSIVE... especially as you need a different one for each pattern you sew. x
