Lovely blocks Rosemary. I like your setting of the Drunkard's Path.

Here are my 2 Bento Box blocks. The 2 fabric one is my latest attempt and the 3 fabric one is the original one which makes me feel sick! I will leave it until the end to decide which one to use.

these are both beautiful Margaret. Why does the 3 fabric one make you feel sick? I think it is wonderful

Well done Rosemary, you are ahead of most of us. Must get on, although at present making small quilt for a child in hospital at Christmas.

Love your Bento Box 2 but I agree about feeling queasy with the one on the right!

Eileen, there are some fabrics with the Bento Box block that seem to move and make me feel sick. Don't know whether it is something to do with my vertigo.

I didn't answer your question about the drunkard's path. Yes it is the bottom block that looks like birds. Yours looks like seagulls circling. You can also set them to go diagonally in one direction.

that makes sense. there are some small prints that make me 'dizzy' / eyes go funny.

Welll I like the idea of them being birds not drunkards, wonder if I can rename them that?

I have done another drunkards path. These are fabrics from Gambia and I am making a quilt for a friend. she has a friend who is Gambian but living here and the quilt will be for her little girl.

morning all, I volunteered to do the December block . I am getting ahead of myself and like most of you I will have a very busy couple of months.

The block is called arrowhead puzzle. before I make them I draw out the grid.

You will need 8 x 3 1/2 " squares fabric a

6 x 3 1/2 " squares fabric b

and 2 x 3 1/2 " squares fabric c

Join the squares as shown in the diagram. [sorry it is on its side it wasn't in the camera] It is a very straight forward block.

This is what it looks like in the Gambian fabrics I am using.

Like that one Eileen. Hope I can find a moment to make it before Christmas.
