I love the Grandma's Fan block and will give it a go.

I have been avoiding doing curves as they seem so hard but there were such wonderful quilts at the FoQ this year that have curves. So it is time to bite the bullet and get on with it!!! It's not that I don't have all the rules etc. to do them.

I found doing a very scant seam was the secret to a good curve.

I will have a go at the pinwheel this weekend.

If you like it...... then that's fine....... there are no "quilt police" here!!!

I think it works because you are using fabric with a sort of stripe!

glad about the lack of police. My quilting group has a couple who approach a quilt with a ruler! rather intimidating and makes me feel as if I am back at school haha

Lovely blocks Eileen. Well done. Like the leafy fabric. Love the wavy fabric. I have it in orange, green and cream but sadly I have used up all the yellow.

As for your group's quilt police - tell them you are thinking of going Modern Improv that should give them a fit! Ha ha.
