It's a bit quiet, so I'm going to play a bit of circle themed music for a bit

Well done Claire

I asked Stella f she wanted to help me get a head start while I was chatting to you all last night. She wanted something to do, and I said it would be helpful...

First, she chose the biggest mug in the house to use as a template, which was nearly five inches in diameter. So I send her back to find a different one. Then she cut three templates using the top of the mug, which was about 4in, and five with the bottom, about 3.5in. She didn't notice until she had cut them out in fabric. So she had to cut three more small ones. Then we discovered that she was down to an 1/8in seam allowance in more than one place on six of the eight, and even moving the freezer paper didn't help. So I banished her to make suffolk puffs with the wasted circles (I hate them) as punishment, and I said I'd do the rest myself thank you!

Question. Are the stitches around the circle like a gathering stitch in the Sean allowance?
