keep going Diane, it's hard when you have visitors and lodgers bringing temptation your way.

There's a song I like, Kennedy by the Wedding Present, and the chorus is 'Lost your love of life? Too much Apple Pie' so you're in good company with that part at least!

As for me, I've just been hiding my head in the sand and ignoring the scales!! Now I'm frightened to go anywhere near them! To make matters worse, our best friends are arriving from Edinburgh tomorrow (if the French pilots' strike doesn't get their flight cancelled!) and they will be here for three and a half weeks - help!!

To everyone else - just keep on keeping on - or off!

Winnie xx

I haven't weighed for a couple of weeks as we spent a week in Devon and you know what that means! So finally weighed this morning and I was down to 15st 11lb. I've had a lot of pasta lately maybe that's done the trick? What is amazing to me is that I am now only 2lb more than when I stopped teaching in 2000. So that is quite amazing face 23

Good luck everyone for the summer ahead-I'm thinking magnums, cheesecakes or roulades, bbqs and refreshing drinks!! Sue*

Well done Sue.

I should recommend the Glastonbury diet. Not eating much (free meals were all vegetarian, and some were nice and oithers horrid, buying food was extortionate) and walking miles each day through welly deep mud seems to work, whether you want it to or not.

I've gained another five pounds in the last five weeks, and weighed 12st 6lb when I stepped on the scales yesterday

I'm feeling a bit frustrated at the moment, because I've been getting more exercise in those five weeks. I've been walking into town and back once a week, which is a complete change for me, as I rarely even left my house before, let alone going anywhere on foot. I haven't eaten any crisps, chocolate, biscuits, cake, etc for months, and I've been keeping my daily calorie intake below 1500, so I'm mystified about what's happening. I guess I'll just have to stick with it, and hope for the best.

Diane
