This is a lovely easy little purse, featured in our November issue. I often feel a bit nervous when I have to make anything with a zip, and it's not really so hard. This project has my favourite method for zips, so it's good practise for anyone else who worries about them!

Would anyone like to join me in a swap, swapping a purse either this one or one inspired by Katharine Guerrier's design?

Please sign up here if you are interested, and then feel free to start making your purse. I won't allocate swap partners until you've told me you've made your purse, and then no-one will get left out.

These will be very cheap to post, so I'm hoping some of Winnie's (and maybe Fiona's) ladies may join in too.

Katy - being totally honest, I won't join in myself - I just have too much on my plate just now - but I certainly will tell my French ladies about it on Tuesday. Both Simone and Denis, in particular, enjoy making "crafty" patchwork items so they might enjoy taking part. My only problem here is that I don't yet have a copy of the November issue of the mag - and i don't know when it will arrive - so I'm not sure how to explain it to them! Any suggestions as to how I can get round this one will be very welcome.

Hope someone has an idea!

Winnie

Yes Winnie, if you have a digital or print + digital subscription, you can read the November issue and get the instructions by clicking the magazines link on the member menu

None of the projects in this month's magazine interested me until I saw this swap! I like Katharine Guerrier and I have tons of pearl buttons so please count me in.

Hi Katy, do you have a time limit for thinking about this swap?

Hi Tessa, I'd like it if they could all be posted by mid Nov, but as we're only allocating partners once they are made, it's not desperate!
