We have a new regular feature in Popular Patchwork, each month in 'Let's Visit' we ask a quilter to show us round their hometown.

Brighton

The series starts with our new editor Liz, telling us all about the places she loves in her hometown of Brighton.

Now, I've never been to Brighton, but it does sound lovely!

Here are some links to some of the places Liz mentions this month

Just reading the Edinburgh article made me homesick! Edinburgh is about 20 miles from my home town and my mum was actually born there. Years ago, I was a mother's help one summer and spent lots of time walking in Holyrood Park with my young charges or looking out over the city at the top of Carlton Hill. As I had a 3yr old boy to look after, we also spent a lot of time on the bridge over the trains at the railway station!

The Town Hall Gates

2015-10-26 12.05.14.jpg

It was very hard to take this photo, as I had to make the children stay on the pavement, while I stood in the junction trying to get a photo of the town hall and gates in one go. There are loads on the internet, I can only assume they stop the traffic and use a big ladder and a wide angle lens!
